Switched from using mq to pbranches for all my patches. pbranch uses more of hg's infrastructure than mq does, and is generally nicer to work with (especially with patches dependent on other patches). There are still a few pain points though, like the inability to specify an unambiguous part of a patch name with hg update.

    • MoMo board meeting/strategy work

    • respin through shutdown hang bugs
    • recruited pop triager Rob S
    • recruited Mac crash bug filer MikeP Pasek (who is doing a great job) - he's picking from crash-stats
    • granted editbugs to MikeP Pasek
    • revised https://wiki.mozilla.org/index.php?title=Thunderbird:Bug_Triage&action=history
    • new bugs * bug 546316 crash [@ nsXULPrototypeCache::WritePrototype(nsXULPrototypeDocument)] * bug 546429 hang after dialog alert Could not connect to mail server ... the connection was refused" - no cpu * bug 547344 windows startup crash [@ nsChromeTreeOwner::OnLocationChange(nsIWebProgress, nsIRequest, nsIURI)] * bug 547954 3.1b1pre shuts down unattended - windows dialog "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

    asuth

    Done:

    • wrote tutorial-style documentation for my xpcshell unit test frameworks based on bienvenu and rkent needs, pointed jenzed at it: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/MailNews/AsyncTestUtilsExtendedFramework
    • updated 1.9.1 release branch to SQLite 3.6.22
    • various FTS3 tokenizer-related investigations sparked by patch activity on bug 525537; summary is we're not landing just case folding (and extra Katakana stuff) without accent folding, we've got a general plan, and I think Makoto Kato is taking care of it.
    • various support of bwinton/shane for gloda and other add-on questions.
    • async patch passes existing test suite and new testtrueasync binary patch.

    Next:

    • adapt existing storage JS tests to test new full-async patch, clean up patch, get it reviewed.
    • 2.x-upgrade-improvement motivated performance and bug investigation.
    • rev filter bar extension prototype so people can try it out and we can move that along
    • mozmill still needs love

    Coordination:

The full-async patch as it has shaped up does not seem like a particularly easy backport to 1.9.2. We'll need to discuss options, but unless we just #ifdef THUNDERBIRD a whole separate directory with the version from 1.9.3, I don't think there's really a way to backport. Probably easier to refashion a cleaner version of our existing hack on the release branches into something we can ifdef in 1.9.2. Doable given constrained gloda needs but will require a 1-line gloda change. (Upside is that change will be forward compatible with the more proper 1.9.3 patch I think).
